Summer

So today might actually be the first official day of Summer...because it was like, 35 degrees and just perfectly incredibly awesome weather. And where was I?

You guessed it, at my desk, facing a blank white wall, in my room, playing with cardboard and staring at a computer screen. Sometimes I think I'm wasting a lot of life doing silly things like this, but I get the biggest buzz when I finish them. I am a perfectionist and an achiever and I get bored very easily if Im not doing a challenge. And if you're up for a challenge, who's to say that's not living? Courage and tenacity are important qualities. They will get us far in life.

In saying that I still wish I could drop it all and get outside more sometimes. But it will all come in good time (just under three weeks actually!!) So its all gonna be fine. That's if I finish this nightmare of a project. Its doing my head in trying to work out the logistics!!

Today I saw what might possibly one of the most stunning houses I have EVER seen. I watched a program on it, wealthy businessman, no budget, Hamilton Island...hmm, just destined to be a stunner. The use of such a brute material as concrete in such a detailed and delicate way is beautiful and the engagement with the natural and the water is truly breathataking.
